Record Release and Upcoming Shows

I spent the past year making a new album and I’m finally gearing up to share it! Lake Accotink will be my third independent release. I am celebrating with a handful of official shows as well as some outdoor pre-release shows in some of my favorite parks.

 

But first…a special show at the Kennedy Center

Preview songs from Lake Accotink at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage on Monday September 10th at 6pm. I’m performing with a new ensemble of musicians that I truly admire, featuring:

Ethan Foote on upright bass and guitar

Chao Tian on Chinese dulcimer

Yana Nikol on flute

Lucas Ashby on drums

Pre-Release Park Adventure Shows

I was biking to work last week, scheming up ideas for my record release shows..dreaming of playing in parks but feeling bummed out about logistics and coordinating and what have you, and then I thought, what if I just put together a series of pop-up park shows with small groups of people? I am currently working on organizing three special pre-release shows that will take place at three of my favorite local parks, Lake Accotink, Rock Creek Park, and Lake Roland.

Here’s the ticket link for the first park pop-up show, happening on Sunday October 7th at Lake Accotink. Attendees will take part in a hike around the park, and I will share songs along the trails and in different nooks and crannies. Attendees will receive a copy of my album, and I also booked a ride for everyone on the private tour boat. Fingers crossed the boat will be able to go out – the lake is struggling with sediment buildup, which makes the water levels low.

My Rock Creek Park show will be on Sunday October 14th, more info soon. And I’m hoping to have the Baltimore show on Sunday October 21st.

I have two local record release shows booked!

Friday October 26th at Holy Underground in Baltimore with Quinton Randall

Sunday October 28th at Songbyrd in DC
